| In 1876 The SS Dunraven, a Victorian steam and sail-ship bound for Newcastle, England hit the reef after a drunken altercation involving the Captain, his wife, and the First mate. It sunk with all its port holes open whilst carrying spices, gold and timber from India suggesting that the waters were calm at the time. |

| The wreck is located east of The Straits of Gubal. Although she was stripped of her cargo by a team of archaeologists in the 1979, the Dunraven still makes an interesting dive. It is home to schools of glassfish, crocodile fish, lion fish, scorpion fish and some of the biggest napoleon wrasse and morays in the area. |
